About Us

Innovative Challenges provides events and activities based on the capabilities of our clients needs and wishes. Since January 2005 we have provided Events and Activities for over 800 individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities. These individuals have attended the Scarborough Renaissance Festival since 2005 and have been treated to several Christmas Parties with food, drinks, music and gifts donated by not only KZPS 92.5 Clear Channel Radio, Assistive Technology Resources, Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Wadley and Family, Silva Terra Studios and Dr. Cindy Powell. KZPS sponsored a Silent Auction in October of 2006, which provided dinner at our Christmas Party 2006. Every year has gotten better and better for our individuals, though it has been difficult to provide outings and activities the past few years without funding. Our director returned back to school and worked with IDD individuals in their day to days lives by transporting them to their day programs, jobs and assisting with daily living by teaching living and social skills.

What can we do

Since January 2005 we have grown not only in clients but in Sponsors as well. The more Sponsors we have, the more we can provide for our clients. We can provide activities, learning abilities and events that will fit the needs of all our individuals that come to us. We also contact other programs, and others are referred to us for events and/or activities. Over the years we have requested computers and cameras for teaching our clients that might be interested in learning how to use a computer and take photos.
